Walkthrough

• With your Main Job set to Dragoon, go to Northern San d'Oria (E-6<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">), outside the 2nd floor entrance to the Blacksmiths' guild.

• Talk to Miaux. In a cutscene, you'll learn she wants her father's old armor repaired, but needs you to get a Altepa polishing stone for the repairs.
• Talk to Miaux once more to accept the task.
• From this point on, this quest can be completed on any job.
• Travel to Eastern Altepa Desert (H-8<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">). Find and examine the ??? to spawn the NM Decurio I-III. The ??? is on the top level near the ruins in the bottom right corner of the entrance to the Quicksand Caves.

• Defeat Decurio I-III and re-examine the ??? to obtain the Altepa polishing stone.
  • You do not have to be on Dragoon to spawn Decurio I-III.
  • If you are in a party, Decurio I-III need only be defeated once. All party members with the quest flagged may then obtain the key item.
• Take the Altepa polishing stone back to Miaux for your reward.
