Note: This quest requires you to run back and forth between Port Bastok and deep in Oldton Movalpolos two times (and once again for the follow up quest). Consider setting your homepoint in Port Bastok and bring a means of Warp.
Walkthrough
- Talk to Ayame at Metalworks (K-7
- 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">), on the top level in the Cannonry, for a cutscene. Accept her job offer to start the quest.
- Next go talk to Ravorara in Port Bastok (E-7
- 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) in front of the Steaming Sheep Resturant.
- Go to Oldton Movalpolos and talk to Brakobrik at (K-11
- 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) and select the option "I getting you."
- Kill Ancient Bombs to gather Hoary Bomb Ashes. (11 are required for the quest, get 12 to be sure)
- Ancient Bombs are found in the tunnels across the zone and can drop up to 4 Hoary Bomb Ashes.
- Hoary Bomb Ash cannot be bought/sold on the Auction House but traded and bought/sold on Bazaars.
- Return to Brakobrik and trade him the Hoary Bomb Ashes in chunks:
- 1 Hoary Bomb Ash will get you a
Dusty Tome - 2 Hoary Bomb Ashes will get you a Pointed Jug
- 3 Hoary Bomb Ashes will get you a Cracked Club
- 4 Hoary Bomb Ashes will get you a Peeling Hairpin
- 1 Hoary Bomb Ash will get you a
- After obtaining all four Key Items, return to Ravorara in Port Bastok (E-7
- 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">).
- Talk to Ravorara four times - once for each key item. You will receive a total of 1,000 gil for these four items.
- Go back to Oldton Movalpolos and trade one more Hoary Bomb Ash to Brakobrik. When he asks if you'll accept his item or not, choose NOT to accept it this time. He will thengive you the Old Nametag. **If he gives you another Dusty Tome instead of the Old Nametag, trade him one more Hoary Bomb Ash to recieve the Old Nametag.
- Head back to Port Bastok (E-7
- 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) and speak with Ravorara.
- Then go to Bastok Mines (I-7
- 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) and speak with Pavvke, located in a house on the lower level, for the final cutscene and your reward.
