Walkthrough

• Speak with a Gate Guard to accept the mission.
  • Trade 20~30 crystals. (Traded 25 water crystals)

• Visit Iron Eater at the President's Office in Metalworks.

Quicksand Caves, Part 1 (Fight)

• Head for (G-5<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) in Western Altepa Desert (take the tunnel), and enter Quicksand Caves.

• Make your way to (H-8<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) and open the weighted door.

• • The door will open by applying enough weight on the nearby sensor. It needs a total of 3 "points":
    • Galka are worth a full 3 points
    • Humes, Mithra, and Elvaan are worth 2 points
    • Tarutaru are worth 1 point

• At (G-11<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">), you'll find yourself in a small room. Clear it out, and then check the Galka Statue to spawn 3 Antica NMs. They can be slept.

• • Triarius IV-XIV (Black Mage)
  • Princeps IV-XLV (Paladin)
  • Centurio IV-VII (Warrior)

• It is recommended you defeat them in that order, however a well-balanced party should have little difficulty with them.

• Check the Galka Statue again for a cutscene.

Quicksand Caves, Part 2

• Make your way to (D-12<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) of Western Altepa Desert and enter Quicksand Caves Map 5.

• • This entrance is accessed at (C-11<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">)→(D-11<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:
2. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) in the far southwest corner.

• Inside, head through the eastern weighted door at (K-8<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) this will take you to Map 6.

• Go east to another weight device at (G-8<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

1. 5555FF; opacity:0.5;">) and proceed east again.

• • The ??? you need is on the floor in front of the mural in the room at (H-8<span style="position:absolute; left:34px; top:px; z-index:15; width:32px; height:32px; background:

• Check the ??? for a cutscene with Zeid.

• Return to Iron Eater for a final cutscene.
